I’m very sorry to report that we’ve decided to cancel our Mayfest event for tomorrow. We’ve been watching the weather forecasts and have decided that the threat of stormy weather is just too high on Saturday morning to warrant continuing with the plans. We had ordered a bounce house, balloon artist and face painter and we had to make a determination today to proceed with them or be charged the fee whether or not we could hold the event tomorrow.
The board will discuss whether we can find an alternate date and we’ll be back in communication with you.
Once again, I’m sorry we had to do this.
Heights Park N.A.
The HPNA General Meeting is this evening, May 14th beginning at 7:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Michael Massey, Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Richardson, will be our featured speaker. This is the Parks Department 50th anniversary so I’m sure Mr. Massey will have some great information for us. As always, we’ll have refreshments and prizes.
And don’t forget Mayfest on Saturday, May 16th from 11:00 – 1:00 at Heights Park (north end of park near the covered pavilion). Free food (hot dogs, chips, baked goods, drinks); parade – decorate your bikes, wagons, pets, and win a prize; cake walk, bounce house, face painter, balloon artist! Bring a chair and get there early. Tell your neighbors!
Something new…we’ll be selling our new HPNA T-shirts at both events, so bring your checkbook or cash if you think you might want one.
Children’s sizes: $7.00
Adult’s sizes: $11.00
