The Heights Park Neighborhood Association (HPNA) is an organization created by the residents of the Heights Park area of Richardson, Texas, to promote communication and cohesiveness throughout the neighborhood. The Heights Park Neighborhood Association brings together neighbors to preserve and enhance the quality of life in our community. We promote safety, an attractive appearance, a family atmosphere and community pride.
The Heights Park neighborhood is located in the northwest area of Richardson, bordered on the north and south by Arapaho Road and Beltline Road and on the east and west by Custer Road and Thompson Road.

The newest HPNA board members were elected in October 2008 and will serve until October 2009. They are:
Janet DePuy, President: Janet is a longtime Richardson resident with a special fondness for the Heights Park neighborhood. Being a Realtor, she understands the importance of neighborhood integrity. She is a commissioner on the Richardson City Plan Commission. In her free time, she likes to read, travel and paint.
Sheila Harrison, Secretary: Sheila moved to the Heights Park neighborhood when she was 6 years old and now lives in the home where she grew up on Twilight Trail. She attended Northrich Elementary, North Jr. High and graduated from J. J. Pearce High School in 1973. She enjoys reading, working on puzzles and getting reacquainted with the neighborhood. She has one grown son.
Robbie Robison, Treasurer: Robbie has lived in her home on Greenleaf for over 30 years. Her family moved to Richardson when she was 7 years old, and she attended Heights Elementary in second and third grades. She graduated from Richardson High School in 1967. She enjoys cooking, working crossword puzzles and decorating. She is a settlement manager for Southwest Securities, a financial institution in downtown Dallas. She has two wonderful grown sons.
Stephen Springs, Civics Chair: Stephen is a husband, father of two, and an architect. He moved into the neighborhood in 2000. His wife, Karen, grew up in Richardson, and they love raising their family here. Favorite neighborhood attributes are the outstanding neighbors/friends and Heights Park. They spend plenty of time there with their daughter and son, black lab and friends. He is also on the City of Richardson Parks Commission.

Steven DePuy, Environmental Chair: Steven DePuy has been a local his whole life. Moving to Richardson when he was eight, graduating from Berkner in 1996 and continuing his education he graduated from SMU in 2000. Living in Heights Park for nearly the last five years has been a wonderful time as well as an opportunity to be inspired by the care and talent his neighbors have put into their yards and into their homes. Being an avid gardener himself, Steven has graciously accepted the position of Environmental Chair for Heights Park. As well as his Chairman duties, Steven is Manager at Under the Sun Garden Center and does contract landscape design.
Kevin de Miranda, Publications Chair: Kevin is the Design Director of Spirit, the magazine of Southwest Airlines. Kevin and his wife, Michele, moved to Rustic Circle in Heights Park in May of 2008 and are enjoying discovering all of the ethnic restaurants in the area.
Nathan Beach, Webmaster: Nathan has lived his entire life in 75080, except for college at UT Austin, and some time living and working in Germany. He and his wife Shelley live in the Heights Park area a couple doors down from where he grew up. A graduate of Pearce High School, he currently works for EMC² as a software engineer. He paints and works on a bunch of music projects. [website]
Alan Melson, Co-Webmaster: Alan grew up in Richardson and graduated from Richardson High School. After time away for college and living the “loft life” near downtown Dallas for several years, he and his wife Emily bought a home on Northill in 2004, and have greatly enjoyed getting to know their Heights Park neighbors. He currently works as Manager for Web and Interactive at KERA, the PBS television and NPR radio station in Dallas/Fort Worth.
